Happy Friday, friends! I hope you all had a great week and continue to have a wonderful weekend as well!
I’m excited to finally get a tour of SpaceX (courtesy of my boyfriend) and am looking forward to a bonfire on the beach (my first since moving to CA) tomorrow! I am also going to meet up with a new friend on Sunday to take another Physique 57 barre class in Beverly Hills. A group of us went last weekend for @coffeeandcardio‘s event and I seriously was sore for the remainder of the week! I can’t wait to do it again!
Let’s get into the favorites:
1. Sweat: As I just mentioned above, I took my first class at Physique 57 last Sunday! Before I get into the studio, I just wanted to give a little shoutout to Maggie and the amazing event she held. We were all given Physique tank tops, barre socks from Swetty Betty, coffee from Alfred’s, mimosas, Sweetgreen salads and goodie bags! …back to the studio: the workout was absolutely amazing! The instructor was fun and bubbly. She challenged us to hold positions to the point where my legs were literally shaking uncontrollably (if you’ve ever taken barre class, you know what I’m talking about!). This is the type of barre class I love, the one where you work up a good sweat! If you live near LA or have a studio near you, I highly suggest taking a class!
2. Listen: The Balanced Blonde // Soul on Fire Podcast. As you may have noticed, between The Lively Show last week and The Balanced Blonde // Soul on Fire this week, I’ve been digging podcasts! I absolutely love Jordan’s perspective on health and wellness! I love her “just do you” attitude! I also really enjoyed listening to the show titled “Instagram Do’s and Dont’s” with Rachl Mansfield. It was pretty imformative to hear their take on developing positive social media experiences.
3. Shop: Outdoor Voices. While listening to The Balanced Blonde // Soul on Fire Podcast, I perked up when I heard the words: Outdoor Voices, yoga pants and amazing in the same sentence. I immediately went online to check out the store! The company is very fashion-fowardard. I am already obsessed with the leggings as they are sleek, modern and beautiful! This activewear brand is starting to gain more popularity, so keep an out for them in the future (and let me know if you end up ordering anything)!
4. Eat: Spirulina Balls. After noticing the variety of balls Lyndsay has been making from her meal prep pics on Instagram every week, I knew I needed to try her recipe ASAP! I wanted to make my own snack that I could easily store and have on hand for when I felt hungry during the week. I made the balls by following the base of her recipe and then adding spirulina powder.
